A mediocre racer himself, My Texas Dandy would have a brillant shining career as a stud throwing the greatest speed horses of the day.

He was the "Sire of Speed Sires"

These included:

• Clabber Who would sire Tonta Gal who would throw Tonto Bars Gill, who in turn would sire Tonto Bars Hank {AAAT All American futurity winner 1960}.
• Colonel Clyde {whose daughter, Prissy would set world speed records until her death during a race}
• Texas Dandy {amoung his get would be Dandy Doll, dam of Doc Bar).
