The countdown to Europe’s premier reining event is on: from March 7th to 13th, 2010 international top reiners present their 4-year-old horses at the beautiful Kreuth facility in Germany fighting for their share of the $ 251,000 added purse. The Futurity classes consist of four levels in Open and Non Pro with a $ 125,000 added purse in Level 4 Open alone. Until 2013, the European Futurity is open to all reining horses world wide. Only in 2013, the show is limited to horses nominated in the NRHA European Futurity programme. For the first time, this applies to the 2009 foals which will be 4-year-olds in 2013. Owners who want to nominate their 2009 foals should remember the deadline March 31st, 2010 because until then, the fee is only $ 300.

In the Futurity classes, there will be one go round and a final. The top 20 competitors plus ties will make it to the final. The first deadline of nomination for the Futurity classes is approaching fast: January 15th, 2010. Horses can be nominated after this date, but then a late fee has to be paid.

For the other NRHA shows (there is also a NRHA Full Slate Show) it’s February 1, 2010. Conditions can be downloaded at http://nrha-european-futurity.com/pdf/2010_Euro_Futurity_Conditions.pdf

Free Entry for Visitors!
Altogether, more than 350 horses and top reiners from Europe, the U.S.A. and Cannada are expected for the 2010 European Futurity. Well known reining trainers like Bernard Fonck (Level 4 Open Champion in 2009), Claudio Risso, Rudi Kronsteiner, Nico Hörmann and Grischa Ludwig already announced their coming. The NRHA European Futurity starts with the first Go round on Sunday, March 7, the finals following on March 12 and 13. During the other days, there will be a number of other attractive NRHA classes. For visitors (10,000 watched the European Futurity in 2009), this show is a real festival of reining – especially as entry is free at all days.

Trainers and Breeders’ Point in the Festhalle
When top reining horses and trainers from all over the world meet for the 2010 NRHA European Futurity, this is also a perfect platform for marketing. For 2010, the show management of the NRHA European Futurity created a meeting point for breeders and trainers in the beautiful Festhalle Rieden which is right beside the Ostbayernhalle in Kreuth. Here trainers and breeders find the perfect surroundings to present themselves and their ranches. A 3 x 3 m booth including business card advertisement in the NRHA European Futurity booklet is only EUR 500 (plus VAT). Larger spaces are available as well.
